We are pleased to introduce Lexie-Jane Hendry as our School Chaplain. Please read below to find out about Lexie-Jane and the service she provides to Broome Primary School.
Hi, I’m Lexie-Jane Hendry and I am fortunate to be the Chaplain at Broome Primary School. I love my job as Chaplain and always strive to provide a listening ear, calming and caring presence and a safe environment for all to share.
I am a born and bred Broome girl and come from a local family. My cultural background is of Aboriginal, Chinese, French and British descent. I completed both my primary and high school schooling in Broome and am proud to be working as a Chaplain today. I also have a Bachelor of Education with Kindy to Year 6 qualification and have worked in the Broome Schools as a teacher. I continue to work at Broome Primary School as a Pre-Primary teacher one day a week.
I am always happy to come to work as a Chaplain, as I know I will always receive a friendly “Hello, how are you?’” I am usually on the receiving end of amazing smiles and excited waves.
If you have a request for individual support for your child, please direct these to your child’s classroom teacher and they will contact me as needed. If you see me in the school grounds, please don’t hesitate to come and have a chat to me. I’m always happy to talk.
